Twisted Metal TV Show Could Drop This Year Hints PlayStation Studios Head

It's pretty safe to say that Sony has scored a major hit already this year and 2023 has only just begun. The HBO adaptation of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us has been racking up big viewership numbers and has been one of the studio's biggest hits since House of the Dragon. Naughty Dog is one of Sony's first party studios and its co-president Neil Druckmann is a showrunner of the TV series alongside Craig Mazin. Last year, Sony also scored a hit with the Uncharted movie, starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, which became the fifth-highest-grossing video Game s movie of all time. And 2023 promises to be another big year as head of PlayStation Studios and PlayStation Productions Asad Qizilbash hints. NBA Power Rankings: Joel Embiid, 76ers take No. 1 spot from Celtics; Clippers getting hot; Knicks enter top 10

It was just one game, but it appears Joel Embiid is tired of being disrespected. He's been vocal about losing out on NBA MVP honors to Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic in each of the past two seasons. Then, on Thursday, Embiid was the odd man out when Eastern Conference All-Star starters were named. Perhaps releasing a bit of frustration, the big man dropped 47 points and 18 rebounds on Saturday as his Philadelphia 76ers beat Jokic's Nuggets to earn their seventh straight victory. An extra prize for Embiid is that the win helped earn the 76ers the top spot in this week's NBA Power Ran kings , dethroning the Boston Celtics, who fell prey to the Power Ran kings Curse in a 1-3 week. The biggest risers this week were the Los Angeles Clippers, who moved into the top five and are finally starting to play like the preseason favorite many pegged them as. Moving up five spots into the top 10 are the New Yo

The US beauty, 26, was on her Game , set for fun and match fit, with even her paddle coordinating with her sporty yellow and blue ʙικιɴι. She said: “I work out really hard to get the body that I have.” It certainly looks faultless. Earlier this year the US-born blonde told Maxim magazine: “I love to be Sєxy and I love to show skin ‘cause I work out really hard to get the body that I have.”   Her fans will all agree her hard work has definitely paid dividends. The American beauty insists she has her family to thank for giving her the confidence to model. She once said: “Honestly, I think having a really loving family has helped with my confidence…“Ever since I was a child, my parents always told me and my siblings, ‘Pursue your dreams.  “You can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it.”’ Source: https://thefoxposts.com/joy-corrigan-shows-off-her-phenomenal-figure-i

Burn with Kearns: Block Head – Kevin Kearns

Image
By Kevin Kearns, contributing writer Some 20 years ago I moved into a 3 bedroom apartment outside the city. It’s always been necessary for me to have a gym in my house or apartment, in addition to a gym membership.  I’m a big believer in having back-up when it involves working out and exercise. The more convenient you make it, the easier it is to stay committed and consistent with your program. The challenge with wanting to use dumbbells is the space that is needed for dumbbells ranging  from 10 to 90 lbs. takes up the whole apartment! If I was not the first user of the “Power Block” then I certainly was in the top 100 first users. The “Power Block” is  a great invention whether it be for small gym owner, personal trainer, or fitness buff. What an ingenious invention to have a rack of dumbbells that go from 5 lbs. to 90 lbs., in 5 lb. increments, that take up as much space as a small TV stand! I have had our “Power Block” for 30 years and it has followed us from our

Zion Williamson injury update: Pelicans star healing as expected, hamstring will be re-evaluated in two weeks

New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is healing "as expected " and will be re -evaluated in two weeks , the Pelicans said Tuesday. Williamson, dealing with a right hamstring strain, has been out since Jan. 4 after getting off to an incredible start this season. Durability has been a concern for Williamson throughout his career, and he missed all of last season due to injury , but this season he has regained his position as one of the NBA 's best players. Williamson averaged 26 points in his first 29 games while shooting above 60 percent from the floor and dishing out a career-high 4.6 assists per game. His fit with the team New Orleans built in his absence was so strong that at one point, the Pelicans ascended to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference when he was healthy. They currently sit at No. 4, though they are only a game-and-a-half behind No. 3 Sacramento. The Pelicans kept their hea

Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Says There Are More Branching Paths Than Players Realize

Cyberpunk 2077 took its time to endear itself to fans, with multiple hotfixes and patches bringing the Game more in line with what we expected in 2020. However, there's one area of 2077 that's still facing criticism - the story, which fans are finding too linear. Now, quest director Paweł Sasko has responded to this complaint, and he doesn't necessarily agree with the sentiment. In a livestream, Sasko said that he believes 2077 has more branching storyline paths than fans give it credit for. Responding to a fan, he says he "personally doesn't understand the criticism" that the story faced in this department, citing examples of where the story changes depending on what kind of V you're playing. He even brings up an example of a (very spoilery) canon divergence that can take place later in the Game , that some fans might not even be aware of. Shorthanded 76ers complete perfect road trip by blocking the beam in wild win over Kings

The sky over Sacramento was a little darker Saturday night than it has been on recent evenings after the Philadelphia 76ers handed the Kings one of the more surprising defeats of the season. Philadelphia, playing without James Harden and Joel Embiid on the last night of a lengthy road trip, fell behind by 21 points in the second quarter of a Game many teams would have treated as a schedule loss. Instead, the 76ers , fighting for an undefeated road trip, clawed their way back into the Game . Tyrese Maxey's 15 third-quarter points sparked the comeback, but the Game itself was won on the glass. A 76ers team playing without Embiid managed to pull in 16 offensive rebounds compared to only four for the Kings.  Sacramento finished with just 25 defensive rebounds for the game, and the second-chance points they gave a Sixers team that simply wasn't equipped to outscore them otherwise proved to be the differenc

Why was Kai Havertz's goal against Liverpool ruled out for offside?

Chelsea looked to have made the dream start to their match against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, but VAR spoiled the party, ruling Kai Havertz's early goal out. Just three minutes into the Game at Anfield, the German poked in a rebound after Thiago Silva's effort hit the post, but after being initially given, the goal was disallowed. Here's why VAR made that call. Why was Kai Havertz's goal disallowed? Chelsea made a strong start to the Game , winning a corner after two minutes, and Liverpool didn't deal with it well. Conor Gallagher sent the ball in from the left and after a bit of a scramble, it fell to Silva six yards from goal; the Brazilian was then able to get an effort away but hit the post when he really should have scored. The rebound then ended up at the feet of Havertz and the forward made no mistake, poking it into the back of the net with his right foot to seemingly give his team the lead. Initially, there didn't look to be anything wrong with t

RI Veterans: Did you know? (VALife, taxes, events…), 19-1-23 – John A. Cianci

by John A. Cianci, contributing writer on veterans issues Let’s start off with a question from one of our readers: “I brought my DD214 to the Town Hall in Coventry for the tax exemption credit on my house and was told I was not eligible. Correct me if I am wrong, Governor McKee signed a bill recognizing Cold War Veterans for tax exemption.” – Manny, Coventry RI You are correct. Governor McKee signed into law legislation (2021-H 5785, 2021-S 0982) which will  extend property tax exemptions to veterans who served in uniform during the Cold War, between 1947 through 1991, even if they did not serve in a declared war or conflict. VETTIP:  I would return to the town hall and apply again. If the town hall tells you the exemption does not apply to you, ask for it in writing and immediately contact your Rhode Island state representative or senator. ***Most towns and cities require applying for the veteran tax exemption in the early months of the year, January and Fe
