During the second Republican presidential primary debate, on Wednesday, the seven candidates onstage regularly sparred with each other During the second Republican presidential primary debate, on Wednesday, the seven 2024 candidates onstage regularly sparred with each other over their policy and personality differences. South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott lambasted how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis handled a controversy over Black history education in Florida's middle schools. Separately, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at one point scoffed at businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, standing two podiums away: "Honestly, every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber for what you say," she said. Here's a closer look at some of the most notable verbal fireworks and political disputes. Bucks acquire Lillard from Trail Blazers, become NBA title favorites

To the surprise of probably no one, the Portland Trail Blazers traded star guard Damien Lillard prior to the start of the 2023-24 NBA regular season. However, few people could have anticipated the destination. Instead of going to the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat, Lillard was shipped off to the 2021-22 NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks. Portland traded its face of the franchise on Wednesday afternoon in a 3-team deal that also included the Phoenix Suns. In addition to Lillard’s move to Milwaukee, highlights include former Suns center Deandre Ayton going to the Trail Blazers and former Bucks guard Jrue Holiday landing — at least for now — in Portland. Bucks become favorites to win 2023-24 NBA title Prior to Wednesday’s blockbuster transaction, the Bucks could be found as high as +850 to win the 2023-24 NBA title — trailing the defending champion Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and Suns at many Sports books. Now Milwaukee has immediately rocketed up to the title fav

The federal probe info President Biden's handling of classified documents prior to becoming president has grown into a sprawling investigation, sources tell ABC News. The federal investigation into President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents prior to becoming president has grown into a sprawling examination of Obama-era security protocols and internal White House processes, with investigators so far interviewing scores of witnesses, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, sources familiar with the investigation told ABC News. Federal prosecutors and FBI agents from special counsel Robert Hur's office have been interviewing witnesses for nearly nine months, targeting an expansive constellation of former aides -- from high-level advisers to executive assistants and at least one White House attorney. Several sources estimated that as many as 100 witnesses have already been interviewed, with interviews conducted as recently as last week and some witnesses asked

US military captures key Islamic State militant during helicopter raid in Syria

The U.S. military says it has captured an operator for the Islamic State extremist group during a helicopter raid in northern Syria WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Military said Monday it had capture d an operator for the Islamic State extremist group during a helicopter raid in northern Syria. The operator, Abu Halil al-Fad’ani, “was assessed to have relationships throughout the ISIS network in the region,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement. His capture on Saturday increases the chance that U.S. counterterrorism operations there will be able to target additional members of the group, command spokesman Lt. Col. Troy Garlock said. The U.S. has approximately 900 troops in Syria focused on countering the remnants of the Islamic State group, which had held a wide swath of Syria until 2019. News of the capture came as U.S.-backed Kurdish-led forces imposed a curfew after continued skirmishes with rival Arab militiamen. According to reports from Syrian media and activists, the Syrian Democ

NCAAF Week 5 opening betting lines, odds and spreads | Pickswise

Four weeks of the 2023 college football season are in the books. It has certainly been an entertaining year so far, and an awesome Week 4 lineup delivered the goods even though Colorado vs Oregon was a dud. Ohio State’s win at Notre Dame was wildly entertaining, while Florida State needed overtime to get past Clemson.   Now it’s time to turn our attention to Week 5. This slate isn’t quite as strong as this past weekend’s, especially now that Colorado has tumbled out of the top 25. Still, it includes an all-ranked showdown on Friday night between Utah and Oregon State before Saturday’s lineup is headlined in part by LSU vs Ole Miss. The opening lines were released at most Sports books on Sunday, so let’s take a look at these openers and give our first impressions.   Bet365 – the world’s #1 sportsbook – has arrived in the United States! Steelers vs Raiders touchdown scorer predictions at +210 & +135 odds

The Raiders and Steelers have made similar starts to the 2023 NFL season, each standing at 1-1 after a close win in a divisional game and a heavy loss to one of the league’s elite teams — so who will have the edge when they meet on Sunday Night Football? The late game may need to provide a lift after an action-packed early slate is followed by just 3 relatively unappealing games for neutral observers in the afternoon, but neither team has exactly been lighting up the scoreboard this season. There should be touchdown s at some point though — Pittsburgh even score d one on the first play of the Game on Monday Night Football against the Browns, albeit with their defense — so here are my favorite touchdown scorer bets for this AFC matchup.
